My Time in France

Hello everyone,

It has been quite a long time since I last posted on here in April.  Since that time I have done a lot of things with me life. As I mentioned in my last post, I decided to major just in French instead of Animal Sciences. I am very proud to have graduated with a bachelor's in French this past May.  This summer I was completely busy packing and working to earn money for the teaching position in France.  It is now November, and I have officially been in France for a month and a half.

I am happy to say that I am safe and sound despite the events that have occurred in Paris a couple of days ago.  I am sure that you have heard all about the attack on Paris through the internet and new sources.  Therefore, I will not discuss the event on my blog.

My time in France so far has been a mixed bag.  Yes, I am enjoying my time in France teaching English, but I am homesick. Missing my family and friends has made it a bit difficult for me right now.  Technology has allowed me to curb the feelings of homesickness and loneliness. With apps such as Google Chat, Facebook Video Chat, Skype, etc. it is fairly easy to maintain contact with my loved ones back in the USA.

My plans for the future is to continue this teaching position until April, coming back to the USA, and completing the two-year animation program. Yes, animation is still a BIG aspiration for me in the near future. I have even found a art group here in France to keep up with practicing drawing images of structures, landscapes, and people.  I do miss writing on my blog, and I am hoping to continue this and Tumblr page as my time in France continues and my ability to draw improves over time.

Back In Action

Hello Everyone,

I have been on a long hiatus (for almost a whole year), and I am glad to be back on my blog.  During my break, I have gone through a lot and accomplished a lot.  I took the Fall semester from university to settle some issues that I was dealing with.  I changed my major from Animal Sciences to French.  At first, I was some depressed that I was giving up my dream to become a veterinarian.  I realized that I was just as (or even more) sad to be in the major.

I am happy to say that I am going to graduate this May with a BA in French.  I am so happy so with my decision.  Also, I am going to France for almost a year to teach English to French students.  Two years ago, I would not be able to even think that I would be going to France.

Final Thing:  I am also planning to get an Associate's degree in animation!

I have loved animation all my life, and I have been drawing ever since I could remember.  I will live my life, and I feel more alive than I ever have before!

Be happy with what you're happy doing!
